IMPORTANCE OF SELF RESPECT IN LIFE

Self Respect is a positive emotion. It is all about honoring yourself and honoring what you stand for. It makes you independent and it comes only when you follow the path of discipline. Self Respect makes you respect your boundaries; it helps you define and honor your own opinion as distinct from others. Also, respect the choices you make in your life and above all, it gives you independence of thought.

It forms the foundation of all the decisions you will ever make, how you treat yourself, and how you allow others to treat you.
Self-respect is about having a sense of honor and dignity about yourself, your choices, and your life. For example, when you treat others well and they will treat you well in return. Having respect for yourself is vital in maintaining a positive self-image by allowing yourself to feel confident in who you are and content with the person you are becoming.

One main thing is our self-respect (dignity) is not only important in life but also the essence of life. Because self-respect holds great importance as it resists you in doing the wrong things in life and pushes you forward to do great things. Apart from respecting others having self-respect is a great deal in one's life.
Self-respect is indicative of how you view yourself. And creating your self-respect will keep your positive feelings about you flowing and growing. Create positive emotions and thoughts about yourself lead to self-respect or is it the other way around? The truth is that they both influence each other. When you practice self-respect, you will feel more positive emotions and thoughts about yourself. Also, when you experience more positive emotions and thoughts about yourself, self-respect will naturally come.

The following tips will help you to develop a healthy level of self-respect.
1. Create self-respect.
2. Consider your own feelings.
3. Avoid making self-deprecating comments.
4. Keep a journal
5. Take care of your emotional needs.
6. Acknowledge to yourself that you deserve respectful treatment.
7. Treat others with respect.
Self-respect encompasses a multitude of ideas, but it comes down to being the kind of person you are satisfied with showing the world and being someone that you and the people you care about are proud of. Lastly, self-respect is knowing that not everyone will treat you well and choosing to respect everyone nonetheless, but still knowing that you deserve to be surrounded by great people.

One’s self-respect enriches the lives of those around them but their ego makes lives miserable as well. Self-respect is the harbinger of happiness but ego brings despair. Be a person with self-respect. Never let your self-respect convert into ego.

An egoism always is inclusive of hidden self-respect in its backdrop. But self-respect need not be an egoist. Egoism is unwanted and always hurts as it is obvious in one's behavior. But self-respect is not noticeable always. Hence it is desirable. Everyone must be self-respect to safeguard their identity.
Our challenge in managing ego is not to hurt our self-respect (or self-esteem). There is a fine line between ego and self-respect, and we need to understand it. The very basic difference is – ego is negative and counterproductive while self-respect is positive and a sign of confidence.

Do not get confused with self-respect and ego. They are a different side of the same coin. Focus on what you are and what you want to think of. We all have an ego, self-respect is ego a bit Inflated. Action to prove self is like doubting your own image on the mirror.

Chronic anger, which is prolonged, can impact the immune system and be the cause of different mental disorder.
 Passive anger, which does not always come across as anger and can be difficult to identify.

Passive Anger

People experiencing passive anger may not even realize they are angry. When we experience passive anger, our emotions may be displayed as sarcasm, apathy or meanness. We might participate in self-defeating behaviors such as skipping school or work, alienating friends and family, or performing poorly in professional or social situations. Because passive anger may be repressed, it can be hard to recognize; counseling can help we to identify the emotions behind our actions, bringing the object of our anger to light so we can deal with it.

Aggressive Anger

Individuals who experience aggressive anger are usually aware of their emotions, although the true roots of their. In some cases, they redirect violent anger outbursts to scapegoats because it is too difficult to deal with the real problems. Aggressive anger often manifests as volatile or retaliatory anger and can result in physical damages to property and other people. Learning to recognize them and manage anger symptoms is essential to dealing positively with this form of anger.

What Causes Anger?

A leading cause of anger is a person’s environment. Stress, financial issues, abuse, poor social or familial situations, and overwhelming requirements on our time and energy can all
contribute to the formation of anger. As with disorders such as alcoholism, anger issues may be more prevalent in individuals who were raised by parents with the same disorder. Genetics and our body’s ability to deal with certain chemicals and hormones also play a role in how we deal with anger; if our brain doesn’t react normally to serotonin, we might find it more difficult to manage our emotions.

Emotional Symptoms of Anger-Related Problems

We might think the emotional symptoms of anger-related problems are limited to anger, but a number of emotional states could indicate that we are failing to deal with anger in a positive and healthy fashion. Constant irritability, rage and anxiety are possible emotional symptoms.

Physical Symptoms of Anger-Related Problems

Strong emotions often bring about physical changes to the body and anger is no exception. Letting anger issues go unaddressed can put our overall health at risk. Some physical symptoms of anger-related problems include:
 Tingling
 Heart palpitations or tightening of the chest
 Increased blood pressure
 Headaches
 Pressure in the head or sinus cavities
 Fatigue

What type of angry person I am?

I am the type of person, who effects from a little bit of aggressive anger, but nobody injured because I have control on my aggressiveness, I can just hurt myself, if anybody hurt then I will apologize.

Are you leading a meaningful life- Find out with us

Life is a onetime journey. A journey to many places with the pit stop at the end of time. It is a long trail of mistakes, achievements, emotions, love, betrayal, etc. People say life is unpredictable. But why is it going to be unpredictable when you are planning ahead each and every step of your life. But to be frank, even if you plan ahead, sometimes there will be some slips. When life pushes you down, get up as early as possible on your feet and smile.

Life can be meaningful if you have a goal. A goal to achieve something. It may be a goal in career, getting a car or a new home, starting up a new business, getting your crush to come on a date with you, etc. A person with one focus point will always achieve sooner. It's better to prioritize your goals and start working towards them. There will be some meaning to your life when you wake up every morning saying “today is the day I achieve”.

Life is uncertain. Don't always assume that things will go wrong. Who says you can't be a superman? You can be a double superman. You are the hero of your life story. Keep that in mind and live your life. In my opinion, physical pain is better than mental pain. So skip your sleep, work hard, because crying after failing is not going to give you anything except a comedown. Don't blame time, live your life meaningfully.

Fill your life with happiness. What is real happiness? Happiness is the feeling when you feel content. Yes, I have done it. I have fulfilled my life's meaning. Or it can be a feeling when you help others. Most of the people are feeling same as you deep down. Depressed, miserable, heavy-hearted. The only way to come out of it is by helping others. Fill your life with friends and relatives. Don't waste your feelings for someone who don't deserve it.

Live life with what you have. Life is very simple. It's not complicated with trigonometric and algebraic equations like you think. It's within our own mind how we live and how we enjoy this small life of ours. How long are you going to live? Have you lived this past life of yours to the fullest? What's the use in still sitting and thinking and planning for the future? Plan the future with what you have. Don't wish for something that cannot achieve. That will make your life complicated and worse.

Last but not least. Have fun. Yes. Fun. This life of ours is limited. But you can always make it a wonderful journey. Travel to places, make prayers, help friends, live the life to the fullest. And when is your life meaningful? The answer is "when you stop asking this question to yourself". Don't ask is my life meaningful? Have I lived my life meaningful? No. You are not on the edge of death. You still have years or months or even a lot of days to live. Meaningful or not will be the answer from your heart.

Allow the conversation to take place stay calm and relax.

Fear Is an Illusion

Fear is a common and natural emotion, which is experienced by people as well as animals. Before proceeding forward let’s look into what defines fear.

WHAT IS FEAR?

Basically, fear is a natural reaction, a reaction to threat that may cause us harm in any way possible i.e. either mentally or physically. It’s been rightfully termed as False Evidence Appearing realistic. If you are mature enough to know the roots of its cause than you know better than most that its critical and possible to hold the reins of your fear. For instance, animals don’t have the knowledge as to why they are feeling fearful, as a result they react in aggressive manner. Human, on the other hand, are more intelligent, reasonable and have the ability to use fear to construct rather than destroy.

RELATION BETWEEN HUMANS AND THEIR FEARS

Some of you might have next to no kind of control over your fears while some are what you might call as brave or simply fearless. Thing is you can be resilient, even animals can be trained to control their fears to some extent. These people that enjoy the pumping adrenaline rush due to fear are to some limit secure and confident; they do not require much assistant from others to live their life. They are independent and face their fears bravely and wisely.

KINDS OF FEARS

Some of the different types of fears that you may experience yourself or view among people in your social circle are noted here
Fear of being judged A.K.A Social Phobias
      Fear of space A.K.A Agoraphobia
      Fear of heights A.K.A  Acrophobia
      Fear of Flying A.K.A Pteromerhanophobia
Fear of close space A.K.A Claustrophobia
      Fear of insects A.K.A Entomophobia
      Fear of snakes A.K.A Ophidiophobia
      Fear of dogs A.K.A Cynophobia
      Fear of stroms A.K.A Astraphobia
      Fear of needle A.K.A Trypanophobia

Above were some of the most common fears also known as phobias. Luckily, I have none of them. Actually I am not afraid of anything except God. And in the next para I will enlighten you about how and why you like me should not be afraid of nothing.

ROOT CAUSE OF FEAR

The most common root cause of fear is love and importance….yes you read it right; love and importance. Now you will be wondering how love and importance causes you to piss your pants. Well here is how it casts its magic on you.
All humans have something or someone that they love and cannot imagine life without such, something they consider more the most vital than anything and they are afraid to lose that thing. A simple example of it is that every human holds his/her life extremely precious and so they feel the paranoia of losing it. Similarly anything that is dear to you and important to you, you will feel the fear of losing it.

HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR FEARS

Fear is just an illusion, it can easily be dealt with. We all know that we cannot eliminate the root cause of fear i.e. Love and importance. The next best thing you can do to overcome your fears is to take the following steps when you are frightened of something.

1.     Know what your fear is about

Before taking below steps, first, know what your fear is about i.e. what is that you are so afraid. After you have got the answer to your question move on to next step

2.     Convert your fear into anger

Convert your fear into anger, you should be angry that you felt fear and the adrenaline will kick in.

3.     Think clearly and rationally

If something causes the sense of fear to rise you should think clearly and rationally, use logic and common sense and your reaction to it should be calm and keep your thoughts collective.

4.     If cornered, attack fearlessly and relentlessly

If you are cornered and there is no other way to go then you should attack fearlessly and relentlessly.

5.     Enjoy overcoming your fear

Like what you are doing, enjoy overcoming your fear and you will get addicted to it. You are missing on the most important memories of your life in giving up to fear. Stand your ground and live your life to the extreme.

RECONCILE YOUR WOUNDS WITH HEALING

Humans are the only creatures to be addressed as human “beings”, as we are the only species that have norms of how to be and how not to be.  We know that we have six senses and unlike other animals we are the only species that could think.  Thinking is as disastrous as much as it is beneficial.  No dog or cat is gonna sit and cry over backstabbing or split ups in relationships or vulgar words that pierce the heart so deep. We live with our heart and mind more than our body.

We love with all our hearts and that’s why they hold scars much more than our bodiesdo.  These scars are mostly etched by our near and dear ones whom we love and trust which make it so deep that they cause pain rather than healing like any other scar that happens on your body physically.  When you get hurt mentally, the wound becomes more complicated to heal as there are no chemical drugs that can make that pain vanish.  Healing of a wound in heart is different from the process of healing of a wound in body. Each and every person should the different types of healing processes that he should carry out when he gets hurt so that psychological complications could be avoided for a better cause.

PREVENT YOURSELF FROM GETTING HURT, STOP MUSTERBATING.

I know now you are like “wait, what?”Lol.  I am talking about musturbation (Not the other one with “A” instead of “U”). Every human who is getting hurt very often is musterbating himself without knowing it and that is the foremost cause of losing happiness.

“Musterbation” is a term coined by American psychologist Albert Ellis. He says if you have things that make you get angry, frustrated or upset you, 99% of the time you have a “must” or “ought” or “should” in your mind.   Eg: He must talk to me politely, She should be loyal to me etc… which will end up in musterbating and should-ing ourselves.  People always do what they want no matter what you think.  So Yeah be careful in choosing your must(s)…should(s)…whatsoever…  Otherwise you would end up arguing with reality which will obviously make you feel disappointed.

HEALING DEEP WOUNDS AND SCARS

Generally speaking, as much as physical health is concerned scars are sign of recovery and are considered better than bleeding wounds but psychologically scars are dreadful incidents whose pain does not cease.
Learn to be brave and to forgive and forget. Accept your mistakes instead of arguing and blaming. These make relationships stronger after a fight instead of break ups.  This might be hard but will help you live a happy and peaceful life for sure.

Immortality is a curse

What if I was immortal? “, a thought that almost everyone has had. But we don’t really think about it, the idea of immortality seems pretty good, but when we look closely and consider all the elements our perspective might change.
Firstly, what do we understand by the term immortalityImmortality is the condition of being immortal, that means being resistant to death.
Immortality meaning: The state of being able alive forever, not dying.

A person who lives forever is called an immortal. Although immortality is just an assumption, no one has been known to live forever, at some point in this world, we all have to meet our ends. But if being immortal was possible, would it be a good thing to be able to live forever?

But when we look closely, we come to know that immortality is a curse. During his life, a human is known to live for about sixty to seventy years, during this time he goes through a lot of ups and downs. At some point in old age, with all the diseases and health problems, he starts to wait for death, seems like an awful thing to say but it is the truth. With all the pain and suffering, he just waits for it all to be over. It usually does get over, but if he were immortal, the suffering would never end.

There is a debate among people over the fact that is immortality is theoretically possible? Some say that it is possible to be immortal and some say otherwise. Scientifically speaking, immortality is a concept that the scientists are working really hard to achieve, but haven’t been able to so far. There is a possibility, that the scientists will achieve immortality in the future.

The question we are focusing on is not when they achieve it, it is whether it is a curse or not. Being immortal lets one live forever, in the same body for an endless period of time. The same life, the same routine forever. Being immortal is like being stuck in a really boring place and not knowing how to break free. Yes, we can enjoy immortality for a few years, but then what, it will only make us feel like we are dragging ourselves from one point to another, but only with no point to end. At some time, when you get everything, you reach to a point where you cannot do anything more with your life, you’ll have no choice but to remain in the same body, trapped in this world. You’ll wait for death, but it won’t come. You’ll wish that it is all over because there’s nothing you can do, but death will not come. You’ll eventually get tired after a while and pray for it to be over. So it is not wrong to say that immortality is a curse. The lifespan of humans is for a reason, the life we have is for a reason. So live, what years you have on this earth to the fullest and don’t fall in the trap that is immortality. Immortality isn’t just living forever, it is also dying forever.

Stages of Friendship

As said correctly "A Friend in need, is a friend indeed" a person who helps you when you are in need is your true friend. Have you ever come across a situation which is worse than bankruptcy, termination from job and its? We all been in these situations, but trust me there will be millions of advice, but a very few hands to back up matters the most and that is a true friend. Friendship is defined as a mutual affection with a person, which does not include sexual or family relations. What would life be like without friends? Hallow right, the Friends are people we love to spend time with. They bring fun in celebrations and support unconditionally.

These Stages of Friendship start with when we meet a "stranger". We start our conversation randomly and if things go well, we would advance to the next stage: "casual acquaintances". Here we might start to share some feelings and thoughts, but only positive ones. This stage is all about getting to know one another better. If things continue to go well, you would advance to the next stage: "friends". During this stage, we begin to trust one another. We feel secure in the others company. It takes much longer to reach the next stage of friendship which is "Deep friendship". By this point, both of you have experienced each other closely for so long that you trust each other deeply.  The final stage "self-intimate" consists of you and only you! And it's healthy to keep some thoughts and feeling totally and completely to yourself.

Let me tell a story, once there was a deer, a crow, a mouse and a turtle. They all were good friends. One day the deer went out to graze. He was caught in a hunter-net. In the event in the deer did not return to his friends. The mouse said to the crow, will you fly over the trees and find the deer? Then fly back to us and tell us where he is. The crow flew away. He came back after half an hour. He said, our friend the deer is in the hunter's net. What shall we do? Said the mouse and the turtle. I will take a mouse on my back, said the crow. He will bite through the net and set the deer free. Yes, said the mouse. I will do that. And I will walk to the deer, said the turtle. The crow took the mouse on his back and flew with him to the deer. The mouse bit through the net. The deer were free. The turtle got friends were all very happy together.

Moral of the story is that unity is essential to achieve victory. There are various Stages of Friendship and throughout the most important is communication and to understand and to be understood. It is important to communicate clearly as sincere communication leads to the right understandings.

HUMANS ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS- THEN & NOW

Humans have always been considered to be a group with skills that are different from other animals, although, like many animals like sheep, humans tend to follow a certain thing. Humans have been known to survive in groups. Earlier, they migrated from place to place, but in a pack. And now it hasn’t changed much, we still rely on our companions for a number of things.

We have different social groups, a group of friends, a group of colleagues and your family is another group. Humans tend to survive better in communities, it has a positive effect on their mental state. Although there are some exceptions who survive on their own without any social groups, they still interact with some people to get things done making them a part of that group. Man cannot survive alone, in order to satisfy the needs he needs to have a few people to communicate with. Our relations with each other begin right from our birth, or even before that when we are just a fetus in our mother’s womb, these relationships last till the day we take our last breath. According to Aristotle, "a man who is away from everyone is either a beast or a god, as no one is completely self-sufficient we all depend on one another". No human can survive without being dependent.

Humans look at each other for behavioral norms, they behave like the people whom they observe, communicate or hang out with. Human pshychology into in simpler word behaviorally of the human mind and how it be whom. It is proven that humans are a pack animal, they follow each other. They pick up habits from one another, they behave like each other. Humans have created languages to make communication easier in other words, for being able to socialize with each other. Earlier humans didn’t have a specific language, yet they found ways to communicate with each other, through different sounds, signs or actions. These have been modified and converted into languages by humans for proper communication. As known by many, the sheep is an animal that does what it sees the other sheep doing, humans are not quite different. We follow everything that we see in our surroundings.

Humans are social animals; being social doesn’t necessarily mean going out and spending time with friends or your colleagues, it can simply refer to when you are talking to a shopkeeper telling him what you need even that is socializing. No one can survive without socializing a little.

Keeping everything in mind, there are some people who we call ‘lone wolf’ who don’t have a friend circle, who don’t like asking people for something or anything but that just the person being anti-social even that person is dependent on other people for a number of reasons. Taking Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory in consideration humans that are social are considered to be fit and they survive in this society whereas the ones who can not socialize will have to learn to socialize, it is the way of the world.
Socialism was and will always be an important factor to be considered for the survival of humans. Humans are the most social beings on this planet. It is in their nature to be social.
