HUMANS ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS- THEN & NOW

Humans have always been considered to be a group with skills that are different from other animals, although, like many animals like sheep, humans tend to follow a certain thing. Humans have been known to survive in groups. Earlier, they migrated from place to place, but in a pack. And now it hasn’t changed much, we still rely on our companions for a number of things.

We have different social groups, a group of friends, a group of colleagues and your family is another group. Humans tend to survive better in communities, it has a positive effect on their mental state. Although there are some exceptions who survive on their own without any social groups, they still interact with some people to get things done making them a part of that group. Man cannot survive alone, in order to satisfy the needs he needs to have a few people to communicate with. Our relations with each other begin right from our birth, or even before that when we are just a fetus in our mother’s womb, these relationships last till the day we take our last breath. According to Aristotle, "a man who is away from everyone is either a beast or a god, as no one is completely self-sufficient we all depend on one another". No human can survive without being dependent.

Humans look at each other for behavioral norms, they behave like the people whom they observe, communicate or hang out with. Human pshychology into in simpler word behaviorally of the human mind and how it be whom. It is proven that humans are a pack animal, they follow each other. They pick up habits from one another, they behave like each other. Humans have created languages to make communication easier in other words, for being able to socialize with each other. Earlier humans didn’t have a specific language, yet they found ways to communicate with each other, through different sounds, signs or actions. These have been modified and converted into languages by humans for proper communication. As known by many, the sheep is an animal that does what it sees the other sheep doing, humans are not quite different. We follow everything that we see in our surroundings.

Humans are social animals; being social doesn’t necessarily mean going out and spending time with friends or your colleagues, it can simply refer to when you are talking to a shopkeeper telling him what you need even that is socializing. No one can survive without socializing a little.

Keeping everything in mind, there are some people who we call ‘lone wolf’ who don’t have a friend circle, who don’t like asking people for something or anything but that just the person being anti-social even that person is dependent on other people for a number of reasons. Taking Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory in consideration humans that are social are considered to be fit and they survive in this society whereas the ones who can not socialize will have to learn to socialize, it is the way of the world.
Socialism was and will always be an important factor to be considered for the survival of humans. Humans are the most social beings on this planet. It is in their nature to be social.
